How to purchase a party: No phone orders will be taken.  Please drop off or send in your check as soon as possible to the church. First checks received will win the party.  Make your check out to: First-Plymouth Church, ATTN: Pick-A-Party, 2000 D Street, Lincoln NE 68502. On the memo line write: Pick a Party and the Party # (#'s) you are purchasing...or include a note.

No refunds will be issued.

Attending a Pick-A-Party is a great way to make new friends wand support the church!

Parties Still Available

1. Alvis Garden Party with Jack Levick 
Mon. Sept.24, 6-8:00pm at Tammy Alvis’ house. $15pp. 30 max. Enjoy a few bad puns from Jack Levick, former minister of Music at First-Plymouth, while strolling through Tammy’s beautiful garden. Wine & appetizers.

5. Pizza & Pints 
Sat. April 20th, 6:30pm. Host: Richard and Laura Moberly: 2600 Rathbone Rd. $25pp. 50 Adults. Great local beer & grilled pizzas with festive toppings…herbs, chevre, mushrooms & sun dried tomatoes. 

9. Jewelry Making
 
Sun. Nov. 18, 6:30-8pm. Host: Shelley Zaborowski, 6911 NW 4th St.$20pp. 20 Adults. Learn techniques to make bead & wire jewelry & go home with two pair of earrings. Refreshments. Bring wire-cutters & round-nosed pliers if you have. Supplies provided.

10. Family Photo Picnic 
Oct. 14, 2012. Host: Eric and Stephanie Dinger at Pioneers Park. $75/family. 10 families. Enjoy good food & at the end of the day you'll have a disc with dozens of professionally-taken pictures. We'll play a few games to get you laughing and the photographers will do the rest.

12. MY-Gym Fun Party 
Sun. Jan. 27th 2013, 4pm-6pm. Host: Olivia, Jonathan & Jabari Faubel at My-Gym, 2755 Jamie Lane. $20pp. 20 children. Private My Gym party for KIDS ONLY! Parents may stay-or-go out on a date while the kiddos are playing in a safe, fun, supervised environment. Pizza & drinks.

14. Craft Beer Tasting 
Oct. 20th 7:00 PM. Host: Alison Knudsen & Karen Becker at 3812 South 31st St. Circle. $20pp. 10 adults. For people who love to experience the variety of beers available from small independent breweries. Light appetizers.

15. An Old Fashioned Hymn Sing! 
Mon. May 13th 7pm. Host & Music leader: Tom Trenney. Location: First-Plymouth Choir Room. $5. Up to 80 people. Afterward enjoy root-beer floats.

16. Disc (Frisbee) Golf Clinic 
Thurs. March 21st, 2013, 6pm. Host: Andrew Chisholm at 27thSt & Tierra Dr. $5pp. 20 people. Brief clinic on throwing techniques & golf etiquette. Then play 9 holes of disc golf. Limited supply of golf discs available for loan, or bring your own. 

17. Rock Island Bike Ride & Casual Dinner at Arby’s 
Thurs. Sept. 20th 6pm. Host: Andrew Chisholm. Meet at Arby's Parking Lot, 27th St & Hwy 2. $5pp. 20 bikers. Rock Island bike trail 4 miles. Then let's dine at Arby’s together (you pay for your own meal). Helmet required. 

20. An evening of Irish cuisines, making music and merriment 
Hosts: Todd & Barb Smisek will MC, Cathy Schlaebitz will conduct the pick- up band & Mary Graham will cook. Sat. March 16, 2013 at 6500 Rexford Dr. $20pp. 28 people- all ages. Dust off your old instrument and let's make music and then eat Irish cuisine.

21. Visions of Sugar Plums 
Host: Sarah Brown. Sat. Dec. 8th, 1:30-3:30pm at the Conservatory of Contemporary Dance, 2701 O Street, Suite 6 & 7. $20pp/$50 max per family. 50 people. Sarah danced professionally with a regional ballet company in many Nutcrackers and will create age-appropriate choreography in the theme of Nutcracker characters/dances. Bring your imagination to design ornaments, decorate cookies, create a costume piece, and learn a dance from the classic holiday ballet.

23. Tubing, Water Skiing & Dinner at Lake Waconda with Maynards 
Sun. June 30, 2-7pm. $20pp-or-$75 max per family. 12 people. Lake is 1 hr. from Lincoln. Fun for the whole family.

24. Outdoor Art 
Sat. April 6th 10-11:30am at First-Plymouth/Dimensions Nature Explore Classroom. $25 per family. 5 Families. Host: Kris Van Laningham & Chris Kiewra. Be inspired by nature & create your own masterpiece using a variety of art mediums.

29. Way Cool Pool Party & Gourmet BBQ 
Summer 2013. Host: The Children, Youth & Family Team; Pastor Greg, Mitch, Kathie & Deb. $20pp/$40 family max. 30 people. Stop by for a great pool party & some tasty BBQ. Held at Greg’s house.

30. Chicks & Flicks 
Host: Paige Roberts at Paige's house. $20pp. 7 Adults. Sat. Oct. 20th Roasted Chicken dinner and chick flick movie.

32. Kid’s Hike at Pioneers Park Nature Center
Led by Master Naturalist and retired Kdg, & 1st grade teacher-Sue Guild. For children 5-8 years old. $3 per child. 10 children (parents free). Sue leads school hikes at the Nature Center. Nutritious snack included. Casual & wear comfy shoes.

35. Kickoff Summer with a Picnic on the Pond 
Host: Bob & Candy Campbell. $15 pp. 30 people all ages. Children under 12 free. Family & kid friendly. Sunday, May 19, 2013, 3-7pm, at Campbell’s home in Village Gardens, 6057 Chartwell Lane. Hamburgers, hot dogs & all the trimmings with dillie bars w/ brownies too. Soft drinks & beer. 3pm the fun & games begin– badminton, horseshoes, fishing (equipment provided), paddle boat & relaxing around good conversation. 5pm dinner served. Life jackets provided for all ages.

38. Meet, Mingle, Mimosas, Muffins & More 
Sun. April 7th 1-3 pm. Host: Stephanie Maser owner of Critter’s. $5pp. 75 adults. Location: Critter’s 1101 Arapahoe Suite 103. Get to know other F-P people at this informal gathering after church. Cheese & crackers too.

39. Opera Stars of the Future
Featuring voices from UNL School of Music Host: Carole & Don Burt. Sunday, April 21st 6pm. Enjoy an evening of opera in a home setting. $25pp. 25 people. Location: 3211 Sherman PL. Appetizers, sandwiches, snacks, wine/beer/soft drinks.

40. Brits & Barbeque 
Host: Bob Shaw & John Ulrich. Date: TBA. Location: Dickey’s BBQ Pit, 2662 Cornhusker Hiway. If you have an interest in old British sports cars, and if you like BBQ, join us! We will be discussing the maintenance of old British sports cars, and what to look for if you are thinking of buying one. Rides will be given in two restored British Sports Cars; a roadster & a coop. Casual. $5pp. 25 people. (Pay for your own refreshments).
