First-Plymouth’s Abendmusik Chorus will join the Doane University Choir and Collegiate Chorale, the Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir, and Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (Choral). Paired with the Ninth Symphony will be the premiere of Jake Runestad’s newly-orchestrated work, A Silence Haunts Me, with a poignant text based on Beethoven’s heartbreaking letter to his family expressing his grief in losing his hearing.
