Dr. Keck’s Book Talks: “Exodus” by James Baldwin

In this short story, a young black woman must decided whether to leave her elderly mother and seek her own freedom. Baldwin weaves together the complexity of the word “freedom” with the ever-present conflict between generations. And as always, Baldwin leaves us haunted by the omnipresence of racism in our world. Join Dr. Keck for an exploration of how fiction can be so terribly real.
