Nancy Waltman, author and retired Nebraska nurse (50+ year career) will present on her latest book on the life and career of Nebraskan, Dr. Susan La Flesche Picotte, the first Native American doctor in the United States. Dr. Susan served on the Macy reservation at a time when her people were in desperate need of medical help and leadership. Join us for a conversation that will be enlightening and inspiring for all.

Nancy Waltman will have copies of her book “Healer” available for purchase ($30 cash/check). Portions of the profits from this book will be donated to assist with the restoration of the Dr. Susan La Flesche Picotte Center.
