Nebraskans for Peace: 38th Annual Lantern Float

August 7, 6:30pm-8:00pm, Holmes Lake Park Northeast side. Co-sponsored by First-Plymouth Peace & Justice team.

Join the Lantern Float commemorating the 76th anniversary of the atomic bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan in 1945. Keynote speaker, Frank Cordaro is a longtime peace activist, former Catholic priest and co-founder of the Des Moines Catholic Worker.. Frank is a longtime peace activist, former Catholic priest and co-founder of the Des Moines Catholic Worker (DMCW). There will also be readings from Nobuko Tsukui’s book of poetry and music from Omaha musician Michael Murphy. All lanterns will be premade and brought to the event by NFP staff.
