Offering of Letters

Offering of Letters

FP Bread for the World Team

One in four children are at risk of hunger in our country. Globally, 270 million people are facing extreme hunger up from 135 million before the pandemic. We may feel overwhelmed. “What can I do to make a difference?”

Ending hunger and making a difference can start with a heartfelt letter. God calls us to advocate for an end to hunger and poverty.

On May 23, 11:30am -12:30pm, the FP Bread for the World Team will be holding an Offering of Letters workshop. We will be urging Congress to make the Child Tax Credit permanent. This will do more to reduce hunger and poverty among our nation’s children than any single policy has in decades. Also, we will ask for an increase in U.S. funding for global nutrition programs to ease the hunger resulting from the pandemic.

You can make a difference…all you need to do is write a letter. Register at our Facebook page: search Bread for the World - First Plymouth or @FirstPlymouthBreadfortheWorld, or email firstplymouth.bfw@gmail.com.
