A young Martin Luther King went to Boston University to pursue a doctorate under a particular theologian named Edgar Sheffield Brightman. Brightman was the foremost proponent of a school of thought called “Boston Personalism.” And the amazing themes of this theology were deployed by MLK to help transform our world.
