First-Plymouth Community

First Worship offers community and conversation after Sunday's 9:00am online worship

Just as our church building helps us to create a sense of community as a place for members to gather, a new Facebook group offers the opportunity to create a sense of community online.

"First-Plymouth's mission to increase the love of God and neighbor is the driving force behind this new way to create a beloved community," said Senior Minister Jim Keck. "This online community is a place to keep that mission alive; a place to explore questions together in trust and love. A place to wonder out loud, check in on one another-- continue to love one another."

Starting August 9, First Worship, a 30-minute worship, available at firstplymouth.org, will be followed immediately by an opportunity for a pastor-led conversation among members who want to explore new ways to live their faith. The conversations on the First-Plymouth Church Community Facebook page can be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/groups/firstplymouthcommunity

Guidelines for engagement are posted on the site in order that this be a safe place to respectfully and courageously explore topics from a variety of viewpoints, informed by timeless wisdom.

All are welcome from anywhere in the world.

Members of the Facebook community will receive a weekly message about the next worship message topic in order to cue up more thoughtful conversation.

"First Worship and the online First-Plymouth Church Community is all about supporting Christian growth and more satisfying lives," said Keck.
