Breaking Down the Walls of Privilege - Tom Trenney
In a world divided by barriers of privilege, power, and prejudice, God calls us to embrace the vision of the peaceable kingdom described in Isaiah 11. A kingdom where enemies live in harmony, where the wolf and the lamb dwell together in peace. In Ephesians, we are reminded that Christ is our peace—he has broken down the walls that separate us. As followers of Christ, we are called to tear down the walls of privilege that divide us and build a community of unity and justice. This sermon invites us to reflect on how we can live out the message of reconciliation, breaking through the walls that keep us apart and building bridges of love and understanding. Making Enemy, Loving Enemy - Rev. Juan Carlos Huertas
The list is long. If you live long enough you will experience harm, hurt, and loss due to the actions or inactions of others. This reality means that we have enemies, make enemies, and find ourselves as an enemy to the other. This week Pastor Juan Carlos Huertas invites us into a conversation about one of the most difficult aspects of following Jesus, loving our enemies. Our striving for this more excellent way, will free us, and free our communities to become more just, loving, and whole places.
