July 11-13 – Kansas City Service Trip

  • Two days of hands-on service projects—helping communities, making a difference, and working alongside friends.

  • The last day, we celebrate at Worlds of Fun—roller coasters, water rides, and an exciting day with friends.

  • Only $75 per youth – includes lodging, transportation, meals, and all activities.

Join us for an unforgettable week of music, movement, and creativity at our Youth Performing Arts Day Camp! Open to all young performers, this exciting camp is completely FREE thanks to the generous support of Abendmusik.

Sing, Play, Move, Create!

Every camper will join our Youth Choir, where we’ll learn fun and inspiring songs together. Then, you’ll get to choose TWO specialized classes to focus on:

  • Drama – Step into the spotlight with acting games, scene work, and storytelling!

  • Drumming – Feel the rhythm and bring the beat to life with percussion instruments!

  • Dance – Express yourself through movement with energetic and exciting choreography!

  • Handbells – Create beautiful harmonies and learn the art of handbell ringing!

All classes are taught by professionals in their fields, ensuring a high-quality experience for every participant.

Lunch is included, and after-care is available for busy families.

At the end of the camp, students will showcase their talents in a fantastic final performance for friends and family!

Children, Youth, & Family Volunteer Opportunities


Volunteer for VBS

Volunteers need to be available from 8:30am - 12pm every day between June 9th and June 13th. You can volunteer to help, but only as Youth Volunteers or to help setup/takedown decorations. Please remember to note your adult T-shirt size in the comments at sign-up.

Station Leaders: Responsible for preparing and leading 1 themed Activity Station: Music, Games, Imaginations (hands-on crafts), or Sticky Scripture (interactive with video and discussion). You will be provided a lesson plan and have an assistant to provide support.

Lead Teachers: This role includes: Taking attendance, escorting the class from station to another on schedule, assisting Station Leaders as needed, work as part of a 2-3 person team, engage with kids and ensure they feel welcome.

Assistant Teachers: Help with attendance, check-in/check-out, moving between stations, support the Lead Teacher and Youth assistants, assign helper roles to children each day.

Youth Assistants: Assigned to classrooms and will travel with children to their rotations. Help children with tasks at stations, assist in activities in classrooms and transitions between them, encourage engagement, be a positive and high-energy role model for kids.

Snack Team: Snack Team ensures all kids get a quick energy boost during VBS by preparing and distributing simple snacks, managing snack time and keeping the area clean.

Two Decoration Setup Teams: These volunteers help bring the VBS theme to life by decorating and setting up spaces (you may volunteer here and in another area).

Decoration Takedown Team: These volunteers help bring the VBS event to a close. (You may volunteer here and in another area!) June 13th – Tearing down decorations and cleaning up after the VBS Final Celebration (12:30-1:30 p.m).
